About Nicola
Nicola Hughes is a Senior Associate Employment Solicitor in the team at Neathouse Partners with over 24 years of experience advising on all aspects of employment law.
Nicola’s career spans both private practice and in-house legal roles giving her a well-rounded perspective on the challenges faced by businesses and their people. Before joining Neathouse Partners, Nicola had been a Partner and Head of Employment at a reputable Legal 500 law firm in Bristol and then went on to lead a specialist legal team and support staff in her role as Legal Manager in a nationally recognised organisation.
Nicola has worked with a wide range of clients from SMEs to well-known brands, advising at all levels including HR teams, boards, and senior leadership. She is commercially minded and has a proven track record of delivering strategic legal advice on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters. She has a particular interest in discrimination and whistle blowing cases.
In all case handling, Nicola is pragmatic, can see the bigger picture and maintains focus on client objectives to deliver commercial and strategic solutions. Throughout her career she has built lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.
Outside of work, Nicola enjoys travel, spending time with her family and friends, walking and swimming. She also appreciates a broad mix of comedy, music and literature.
