James Rowland
Co-founder & Commercial Director
About James
James is the Commercial Director at Neathouse Partners. He is responsible for all Account Management, Sales & Marketing within the company.
Having gained a BSc in Psychology and further study for his post-grad Law degree, James embarked on his legal career in 2014.
Since then, he has become an Associate Director at a national Employment Law boutique, studied for a Masters in Marketing, and as of 2018, has been a Director at Neathouse Partners.
Outside of the office, James is a keen cricketer, playing very badly (he calls himself a Batsman but averages single figures) in the Cheshire League for Nantwich CC. He also loves watching his childhood football team, Crewe Alexandra, and is an avid lover of cinema (his favourite film being Pulp Fiction).
“We met Neathouse at a time we were experiencing some staff issues. We had always used an HR company but sadly they all retired and we were looking for a new provider. We found James and our allocated person, Gwyn extremely professional, comprehensive and easy to get on with. I feel confident that we are doing the right thing and have the support of Neathouse behind us. I would highly recommend them.”
“Highly Recommended! As a company, we have used Neathouse for a number of years. The service throughout has been exceptional. All matters are dealt with in a prompt and efficient manner. James and Gwyn are always on hand to deal with any issues and have provided detailed employment contracts, staff handbooks and advised on complex matters. I would highly recommend Neathouse as a trusted HR partner.”
"We run 2 expanding companies and needed a proactive HR partner to assist the directors. Having been with another well-known provider for the last 12 months, I felt the service was far too passive so I started to look for an alternative.
From the very moment I called Neathouse Partners Ltd I knew my search was over. This company are offering something quite exceptional. Whilst I have only recently been onboarded with them, I have already received service and advice that simply goes above and beyond expectations. We could not be happier, knowing that we have a professional HR partner at our side when we need advice or help. We would wholeheartedly recommend Neathouse Partners."
“Fantastic value added support for our business. We have found Neathouse (NH) excellent HR support partners for our business. We're a business with around 30 staff, so not at the stage where need to employ an FTE HR person and for us NH provide the necessary support we need. What attracted us to them was the fact that they employ HR lawyers with deep experience. This has proven invaluable as we've had our share of tricky HR issues to navigate but we have full confidence in both our principal lawyer assigned to us and others that have stepped in as required. The commercials are also very competitive and when you add this to the fact that they can review all your existing contracts and provide templates NH have a compelling proposition. Kudos to both James Rowland and Bobby Ahmed for delivering a market leading proposition! At some point I'm sure we'll need to consider an in-house HR person but we may still continue to work with them in some capacity. Great work team!”
“Having used the services of Neathouse Partners for many years, I’m confident to say that their employment law advice is commercial and focused on the answer rather than the journey! I have recommended the team to many other businesses and have never heard a bad word said.”
“Simply the best 5 star
