Bobby Ahmed
Co-Founder & Managing Director
Bobby is a highly-experienced Employment Law Solicitor and the Managing Director at Neathouse Partners.
Bobby has a wealth of knowledge on all aspects of Employment Law & HR, with a particular specialism in TUPE and redundancy.
Bobby prides himself on offering pragmatic (and sometimes creative) solutions to businesses legal and HR problems.
Having spent many years as an advocate representing companies big and small in the Employment Tribunal, Bobby now provides legal commentary on various legal issues in the media.
Outside of work, in between family duties, Bobby is a keen musician and plays an array of instruments.
James Rowland
CO-FOUNDER & Commercial Director
James is the Commercial Director at Neathouse Partners.
He is responsible for all Account Management, Sales & Marketing within the company.
Having gained a BSc in Psychology and further study for his post-grad Law degree, James embarked on his legal career in 2014.
Since then, he has become an Associate Director at a national Employment Law boutique, studied for a Masters in Marketing, and as of 2018, has been a Director at Neathouse Partners.
Outside of the office, James is a keen cricketer, playing very badly (he calls himself a Batsman but averages single figures) in the Cheshire League for Nantwich CC.
He also loves watching his childhood football team, Crewe Alexandra, and is an avid lover of cinema (his favourite film being Pulp Fiction).
Gwyn Edwards
Senior Employment Lawyer & Litigation Manager
Gwyn is an experienced Employment Law Solicitor who also serves as in-house Litigation Manager at Neathouse Partners.
He has considerable advocacy experience and has appeared before numerous Employment Tribunals and courts, representing clients in a range of disputes.
Gwyn studied law at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, before training with a well-regarded Cheshire firm and subsequently moving to a large regional law firm, rated in the renowned Legal 500 guide as a “Top-Tier” firm.
Gwyn joined Neathouse Partners Ltd in 2019 to focus exclusively on providing employment law & HR advice to employers only.
Gwyn is from Wrexham in North Wales and, in his spare time, enjoys exploring the countryside with his wife and two young children in their campervan.
He is also a keen indoor rower and has practised Judo for many years, holding a first dan black belt and previously having won the gold medal at the British Universities Judo Championships.
Steven McMullin
Senior Employment Lawyer & Client Services Manager
Steve is a qualified Employment Lawyer and a senior member of the Neathouse team, who also heads the role of Client Services Manager.
Steve has many years of experience dealing with all aspects of Employment Law & HR, supporting a large number of organisations across a multitude of different sectors.
Steve achieved his Bachelor of Laws – LLB from the University of Chester before qualifying as an Employment Lawyer through the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx).
Steve has worked at Neathouse Partners since January 2020.
Steve lives in Chester with his wife and sons. His hobbies include watching Formula One and following Everton Football Club.
Steve is also a keen gardener, having had a small landscape gardening business before moving into law. Steve also has a keen interest in politics.
Sarah Simcott
Senior Employment Lawyer
Sarah is a qualified Employment Lawyer and a senior member of the Neathouse Partners team.
Having started her legal career in 2008, Sarah has had a variety of roles, including tutoring the latest batch of employment lawyers with CILEX and heading up the Employment Law Department at Percy Hughes & Roberts Solicitors, where she was advising clients on contentious and non-contentious employment law matters for both claimant and respondent.
Sarah has a natural ability as a mentor and leader, making sure her clients feel empowered and confident when dealing with their day-to-day employee issues.
Outside of work, Sarah is an active volunteer in a local Hockey Club, having held positions of 1st Team Captain, Mixed Team Captain, Social Secretary, Safeguarding Officer and Cook.
Misbah Sadiq
Employment Lawyer
Misbah is an experienced Employment Law Solicitor who qualified in January 2007 and has a demonstrated history of working in the legal services industry.
Her expert and commercial advice assist clients from a wide range of industries and sectors on a whole range of employment law matters, including contentious and non-contentious issues.
Misbah studied law and then studied the Bar Vocational Course, so is a non-practising Barrister and a qualified Solicitor.
Misbah started her career advising both employees and employers, but from 2009, she has only advised employers.
Misbah lives in Warrington and has three young children.
She enjoys reading a good book, binge-watching Netflix, and socialising with friends in her spare time.
Nicky Edwards
Executive Assistant to the Directors
Nicky is an experienced Executive Assistant & Legal Secretary with over six years experience working in the Employment Law sector.
Nicky supports the company Directors and Senior Management Team with an array of admin tasks, from editing documents to preparing tribunal bundles. She has also completed her NVQ Business Admin Level 3.
Nicky lives in Chester with her husband and two children. Her hobbies include reading thrillers (her favourite authors are Martina Cole and James Patterson). She also enjoys swimming and a good rom-com (with a box of tissues to hand).
Sian Jones
HR & Employment Law Consultant
Sian is an experienced employment law specialist, having advised both employees and employers on a range of complex contentious and non-contentious Employment Law & HR matters. Sian studied Law and Criminology (with a year abroad) at the University of Sheffield.
After leaving University, Sian advised on a variety of personal and commercial legal matters at an International law firm in Sheffield before leaving to focus specifically on employment law, taking up a role as an HR Manager before joining Neathouse Partners as an HR & Employment Law Consultant.
Sian splits her time between Sheffield and the Wirral, where she grew up, and enjoys spending her spare time in the gym, watching Netflix and escaping on as many holidays as possible.
Mark Andrew
Health and Safety Consultant
Meet Mark, an experienced Health & Safety advisor with a strong background in engineering. Mark holds an MEng and BEng (Hons) in Engineering, is a Practitioner of IEMA, and a Graduate Member of IOSH.
With a career spanning over 30 years, Mark has held positions at Ardagh Metal Beverage, Ball Packaging Europe, Continental Can Company, and Carlsberg.
His expertise includes overseeing health and safety objectives, incident investigation, risk management, and implementing integrated management standards.
He has also been involved in engineering and construction projects, working closely with internal teams and external contractors.
Mark is a skilled communicator, engaging with colleagues at all levels to maintain continuous improvement in Health & Safety culture.
Outside of work, Mark enjoys sports, golf, and restoring British motorcycles like his Triumph Bonneville.
Dilshad Rajani
Employment Lawyer
Dilshad is a qualified Solicitor and specialises in Employment Law & HR. She consults, advises, and drafts Contracts for multiple national brands and companies to resolve their legal issues and HR disputes. In the past, Dilshad has represented employees in bringing tribunal claims against their employer but joined Neathouse Partners in 2021, where she now works solely on providing advice for businesses. She also has vast experience in Personal Injury and Litigation related matters. Her objective is to offer a speedy, satisfactory, and commercial resolution where possible.
Dilshad studied for an LLB Law Degree in Liverpool before moving to Manchester to complete her Legal Practice Course. She worked at a large regional firm on some high value litigated cases before moving over to Employment Law.
Dilshad is from Manchester and in her spare time, she is a keen tennis player. She is a member of her local tennis club and has been lucky enough to win tickets to visit the centre court during Wimbledon. Dilshad enjoys long walks in country parks and is a keen traveller. One of her favourite spots is Grouse Mountain, Vancouver. Dilshad also has a Level 3 In Special Effects Make-Up and Prosthetic Application and thoroughly enjoys working behind the scenes in the entertainment industry.
